Most widely known for his appearance as the bachelor on the 6th season of ABC’s “The Bachelor” (a reality TV Dating program), Byron Velvick is also well known as a 12 year touring professional angler on the exclusive B.A.S.S. Elite Tour and weekly co-host/analyst of ESPN’s only fishing-news show “Basscenter”. Among his many accomplishments in the sport of professional fishing Byron is a two-time US Open Champion, IGFA/Rolex Light Line Tournament champion, and is the current record holder for the heaviest three day total winning weight on the B.A.S.S invitational tour, as well as holds the 4th highest single day weight, and third highest four day weight, in B.A.S.S. history. Byron is currently engaged to Tampa Bay’s Mary Delgado whom he met on the 6th season of The Bachelor, and they currently reside both in Tampa, FL and Del Rio, TX.

Prior to Amistad Lake Resort, Michael worked as Vice-President of Bluefish Concierge (USA), the #1 luxury personal concierge company in the world. Michael planned and coordinated private events, parties, and custom itineraries for celebrities, top executives, and high-networth individuals. Prior to Bluefish Concierge, Michael owned a vacation rental company in Palm Springs, CA that managed over 100 properties, including two boutique hotels, and has worked in upper management at several upscale hotels - including executive positions with the Ritz-Carlton and Hilton Hotel Companies. Michael currently serves on the board for the Del Rio Chamber of Commerce Convention and Visitor's Bureau, the city's tourism agency.
